This was from the documentary Step into Liquid that was supposed to be a modern version of the movie Endless Summer. They went way out (~18 miles) into the Pacific where these huge waves occur constantly. Some crazy boat captain in his early twenties was the only one who would take them. I'm not a surfer, but movies like Endless Summer have always made me jealous that I am not.
