One of the better timelapses we've seen here at Shizzville, all the way to NYC from LA by car.

Hey i have gone through this way during last winter, a way ahead there was a Internet Draw Poker forum my brother works there. People become very happy when they see themselves or the places known to them in the movies :)

what is this song?

I'm amazed!! This is a great video.

I'm a over the road trucker and I was able to identify almost all the states he went thru by looking at the landmarks and terrain, very cool video with awesome editing. Not fake at all.

Cool video!

you people are retarded. it's not fake it's called EDITING.
idiots.

My quesition is why he stays here in Vegas Two nights in a row at separate hotels?

Shit dawg! This cat's speeding.

If theres one thing that totally bugs me or pisses me off more than 9/11 conspiracy theorists, it has to be people claiming every video ever made is fake. i don't see any way that this video is at all fake, yet you guys pretend you're rocket scientists and pick out flaws that make this video totally impossible to be real. start using your brain people.

great video by the way! totally NOT fake

fake? not sure what people mean by 'fake'. Obviously has some frames removed.... but really, who'd want to see the whole thing.. could take hours depending on the frame rate.

And how would you fake this? It would be far easier to actually do it, than to 'fake' it.... where would you get all the images from?

Instead of fake, I'd say it's exceptionally well edited. Enough detail at the right moments to tell a compelling story and keep interest up, while cutting out lots of the dull repetitive stuff.

Well done!

Well, I think it's awesome. You can build contraptions with small little cameras, that noone will see, and therefore wont get stolen.
Also, to create a reasonable timelapse of such a trip you would have to cut parts out, otherwise it would be hours long.
I don't think it's fake, but I do think he staged some parts of it, for example leaving the top down in NYC, and when he stays next to a truck for several frames.
Still: it's really cool!

Way cool. And as for all you idiots saying this is fake, get a fucking brain. It's easy to set a camera up and time lapse it. Cross country road trips happen all the time, this guy just decided to film it and cut out the crappy parts. Seriously do you people think before you write some of these comments?

I was totally convinced and engrossed with the video - until around 3:10 - 3:20. I hadn't read any of the comments - but accounting for the speed of his timelapse, he reverses way to long. Also - from 3:18 - the lighting is just wrong somehow - it just looks staged there. Having said that - wow - very cool!!!

.... when he drives in town, his car is a full story tall...

Fake. Good, but fake.

When he turns his head to change lanes, he would have to have his head turned around for minutes at a time. You can't do that when driving.

How whiny some can be.. I think it was great, I've never been to America så this was somewhat really cool ^^

fantastic!

All good stuff - I've not seen better

Speed Hax!

Umm... why didn't he ever stop for fuel? I think that car get the best gas mileage on Earth.

FAKE... slow or fast his hair barely movies in a convertable... unless he has cement hair gel.. i dont think so

I like cats... and this video i beleive it is real

good vid! and to the people saying theres no way you can drive that fast......you are a bunch of retards!

I believe Michel Gondry directed this.

lol if you are concenred about the camera being stolen... it is easy enough for it to just capture a few frames and for him to bring it inside if that was the case... its time lapse... its only taking a few framses ever few minutes or so

Hello? didn't you notice that it was FAST-FORWARDED!! And it is still fake!!

Here, check this out, it explains the whole thing.
And besides that, this is the original music video to the song Behind by Lacquer.

I really like the video and song though, so yeah... fake or not, it's awesome, lol =3

Totally fake. It takes longer than 4 minutes to do that. Besides there are Photoshop relics throughout the video. Fake, fake, fakety fake-fake.

... and in the end they left the top down in the middle of NYC.

Thats an amazing video - Kinda reminds of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for some reason - www.thevirusmustbestopped.com

Thats insane, I cant believe he didnt get pulled over once... he was driving sooo fast. I mean he was driving so fast, he was skipping entire states, thats like really fast. I bet he was doing at least 400 mph.

I could see the Roebling Suspension Bridge, Riverfront Stadium (which no longer exists), and Lytle Tunnel in Cincinnati! Awesome!

Looks like about 5 or 10 times realtime. so a full day should be about a couple of hours in real time?

actually, he dresses pretty indie

I dunno, I thought that the ride was pretty awesome. Besides who wants to see pit stops at gas stations. How boring. The only thing I didn't like was the gay scarf.

So he leaves a timelapse capable video camera or SLR on a tripod attached to the back of his car with the roof open overnight and it doesn't get stolen ever? FAKE!

Very Cool, what is the name of the song?

Are you guys crazy or something. It is clearly mentioned that this is a timelapse video....

olololololololol fake. There's no way someone can drive that fast.

holy shit they are driving fast!

Yeah, it would be better without the cuts.

there are several cuts, which explains why the never stop for gas and such, kind of makes the whole thing less cool

Right... Well the only way to explain how they never stopped for gas or for lunch is that they are aliens or robots and their car runs on human blood. So I question this.

haha car troubles...i was not expecting that to happen lol...cool vid

That was fun!

The name of the song is Behind by Lacquer.

anyone know who the song's by?

That guy dresses like an old man lol
