Well, obviously, some people are taking a joke too seriously. So i'll join in and say, I think it's goddamned pitiful that even some Americans don't know something so basic as when 9/11 took place. I mean really, .... REALLY, how the fuck do they get that wrong? It's understandable if they got the year wrong, but the month? the day? Face it, we're a country of impressionable, ill-educated idiots. Personally, I blame the teachers and standardized tests that test nothing except for basic critical reading and math skills. This actually came from an Australian news parody show (the chasers war on everything) and I found it quite entertaining. I'm pretty sure there's a survey asking what was the biggest thing to happen in the last 100 years and something like 70% of Americans answered 9/11 , never mind the Holocaust or Hiroshima. What pisses most of the world off about most Americans is that they know nothing about the rest of the world or it's history, and apparently have no sense of retrospect.
